Louis Massignon (1883-1962) and Henry Corbin (1903 -1978) : two great figures of the history of ideas which followed each other, loved each other... and sometimes opposed to one another. When France was sinking in a colonialist, materialist and secular wheeling and dealing and then (is it a consequence of that ?) faced two world wars and a national war (Algeria)... who are the French of that time who were really fascinated - sometimes risking their lives - for spirituality "of the other" : Islam ?

In Western countries, philosophy and theology seem to interlace like the two snakes of the caduceus of Hermes. But beyond this exterior (and masculine) consequence: what is the kind of its central hub, that thin olive tree staff? Is it what Russian orthodoxes call Sophia ? Central figure of Christianism, philosophy and then psychology, Sophia represents inner femininity of God. If for more than twenty centuries, philosophers and theologists (almost exclusively men) evoked it in Marian, virginal or without Eros words.

Was the death of Molière, on stage, while performing the The Imaginary Invalid a fatal synchronicity linked to Chronos, the God of time ?
